Terms and Conditions

1. Participation and assumption of risk

The Participant voluntarily agrees to participate in martial arts and fitness training conducted by the Operator of the academy they attend: Prosper Fitness Pty Ltd (ABN 31 654 495 333) trading as Alpha Jiu Jitsu Academy Rouse Hill, or Alpha Jiu Jitsu Richmond Pty Ltd (ABN 99 637 275 006) trading as Alpha Jiu Jitsu Academy Richmond (each, the “Academy”). The Participant acknowledges that martial arts training involves physical contact and inherent risks of injury.

2. Fees and payment obligations

2.1 The Participant agrees to pay all agreed membership fees regardless of attendance, non-attendance, or missed classes.

2.2 All fees are payable via the nominated direct debit provider: Ezi Debit for Rouse Hill, PaySmart for Richmond, or another nominated billing service.

2.3 Any arrears resulting from rejected or failed payments must be settled immediately upon notification.

2.4 The Academy reserves the right to adjust class schedules, operating hours, and membership pricing at its discretion. Members will be notified of any pricing changes in accordance with applicable consumer law.

2.5 Membership fees are non-refundable unless required by law.

3. Suspension (freeze) policy

3.1 Memberships may be suspended for a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of 90 days per request.

3.2 A minimum of 30 days written notice via email is required to request a suspension.

4. Termination policy

4.1 A minimum of sixty (60) days written notice via email is required to terminate a membership.

4.2 Payments will continue for sixty (60) days from the date written notice is received and acknowledged.

4.3 Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the academy you attend: Rouse Hill, info@jiujitsurousehill.com.au | Richmond, info@jiujitsurichmond.com.au

4.4 Members agree not to cancel payments directly through their financial institution without first following the Academy’s cancellation procedure.

4.5 Any outstanding balances must be paid in full prior to termination being finalised.

5. Public holidays and December period

5.1 Membership fees continue to be charged during public holidays. Members may make up missed sessions within fourteen (14) days of the affected class.

5.2 Fees will continue during the December 24 to January 1 closure period. In exchange, members receive unlimited training between December 15 and January 15 regardless of membership tier.

6. Media release

The Participant grants Alpha Jiu Jitsu Academy (Rouse Hill and Richmond) permission to use photographs, video footage, and interviews for promotional and marketing purposes across any media platform without compensation.

7. Code of conduct

Alpha Jiu Jitsu Academy maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward violent, aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour (physical or verbal) directed at staff, coaches, or students. Breaches may result in immediate suspension or permanent expulsion. In such cases, membership fees will continue for the required 60-day notice period. No refunds will be issued unless required by law.

8. Medical disclosure

The Participant confirms they are medically fit to participate. All pre-existing medical conditions (including but not limited to heart conditions, diabetes, serious injury, stroke, or anaphylaxis) must be disclosed prior to participation. Failure to disclose relevant medical conditions may result in suspension of participation until medical clearance is provided.

9. Non-compete acknowledgment

By enrolling, the Participant agrees not to open, operate, or instruct at a martial arts academy within a 5-kilometre radius of the Alpha Jiu Jitsu Academy site they attend (Rouse Hill or Richmond) for a period of 12 months following termination of membership. This clause is intended to protect the Academy’s goodwill and business interests.

10. Agreement

I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions. I acknowledge it is my responsibility to inform the Academy of any changes to my health that may affect safe participation.
